Hello everyone!
We have made a great checklist that encompasses all the basic new foods you should try with your baby!
Personally, I started with Pumpkin and worked my way through the list. I steamed the vegetables and fruits until soft and blended them up to a smooth consistency with no lumps, put them in our baby food freezer trays and froze batches. I would give Charlie a few days of the same food and then move on. I started with the baby food container ice cube tray size and then worked up to the baby food container pot trays. I did this by starting with one cube, then two and so forth until it was more efficient to move to the bigger tray (about 6 weeks). Once frozen, placed them in the silicone freezer bags and then made the next vegetable or fruit! I was (and still am) a big fan of making things in bulk when I have the energy and motivation.
The great thing is you can be as creative as you want! Remember be cautious around trying allergy foods and only introduce one food at a time incase a reaction does occur.
This is just a list of items I started with and I am in no sense a doctor or nutritionist. Please discuss with your doctor when starting solids.
